Apply for a scholarship

We are now accepting applications for the Fr. Edward J. Ciuba scholarship! This scholarship is a one-time award that covers the full cost of tuition for the Climate Pastoral Care Course. This scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Fr. Edward J. Ciuba, a long-time Waterspirit board member and impassioned champion of caring for Creation. It will be awarded to a prospective student who meets the eligibility requirements listed on the linked Google form. Applications will be accepted until July 31, 2023. The recipient will be announced in early September, at the start of the Season of Creation.

Climate Pastoral Care Course


This course was officially launched at a virtual webinar featuring a panel of experts in the field, including Dr. Sally Gillespie, Rev. Talitha Amadea Aho, and Rev. Douglas Kaufman, featuring a special message from Rev. James Bhagwan. Deepen your understanding of the emotional states that the climate crisis can provoke (including eco-anxiety, climate grief, and more), and how to help your church communities navigate those feelings sensitively and effectively.
