The Right Not to Be Exposed to a Toxic Environment: The 49th Regular Session of the Human Rights Council (HRC49) is taking place in Geneva and online from 28 February to 1 April 2022. The Special Rapportuer addressed The Right Not to Be Exposed to a Toxic Environment. Member States can directly request support from UNEP and partners via the Clearing House Mechanism within the technical assistance section. Likewise, they can use the knowledge base and country profile sections to access relevant environmental news, legislation, jurisprudence, model laws, legislative toolkits, and other environmental law guidance products and resources. She has been an environmental lawyer for over 20 years and holds a Ph.D. in environmental, natural resources, land and agrarian law, and a doctorate on climate change law, climate governance and climate policy. NOAA Spring Outlook and Climate Change: NOAA issued its U.S. Spring Outlook today and for the second year in a row, forecasters predict prolonged, persistent drought in the West where below-average precipitation is most likely. NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center – part of the National Weather Service – is also forecasting above-average temperatures for most of the U.S. from the Desert Southwest to the East Coast and north through the Midwest to the Canadian border from April to June.
